Major Forms of Child Abuse Include:

Physical Abuse
Any non-accidental injury to a child. This includes but is not limited to hitting, kicking, shaking, pinching, hair pulling, burning, and throwing.

Emotional Abuse
Any behavior which interferes with a child's mental health. This includes but is not limited to, yelling, screaming, name calling, shaming, and negative comparisons to others.

Sexual Abuse
Any sexual act between an adult and child. This includes but is not limitied to fondling, penetration, exhibitionism, pornography, intercourse, and forced observation of sexual acts.

Neglect
Any failure to meet a child's physical or emotional needs. This includes but is not limited to lack of supervision, inadequate provision of housing, food or clothing, lack of praise and positive reinforcement, ignoring, lack of physical affection.
